How to Buy USDT in Pakistan via Binance P2P (2026 Guide)

By Rao Arslan · 8 min read

Pakistani banks do not support direct crypto purchases. That is the reality in 2026. But millions of Pakistanis trade crypto every day using one method that works cleanly and safely: Binance P2P. This is the complete guide to doing it right.

What this covers
  1. What Binance P2P actually is
  2. Before you start — account setup checklist
  3. Step-by-step: buying USDT with PKR
  4. EasyPaisa vs JazzCash vs bank transfer
  5. How to choose a safe seller
  6. Understanding TRC20 — the network that matters
  7. Mistakes that cost Pakistani traders their money

What Binance P2P actually is

P2P stands for peer-to-peer. Binance P2P is an internal marketplace inside the Binance platform where verified sellers list offers to sell USDT for PKR. You send the PKR to the seller directly — via EasyPaisa, JazzCash, or bank transfer — and Binance holds the USDT in escrow until the seller confirms they received your payment. At that point, the USDT is released to your Binance wallet.

No bank involvement. No middleman beyond Binance's escrow system. This is how the majority of Pakistani crypto traders fund their accounts.

Before you start — account setup checklist

Do not attempt a P2P purchase until all of these are in place. Skipping any one of them creates a vulnerability that costs people their money.

1
Binance account created with your real email

Use an email address you control permanently. Do not use a temporary or shared address.

2
KYC completed with your CNIC

P2P is only available to verified accounts. The process takes 15 to 30 minutes and unlocks within a few hours.

3
Google Authenticator 2FA enabled

This is non-negotiable. Enable 2FA before any transaction. Store your backup codes somewhere offline and secure.

4
Withdrawal whitelist set (optional but recommended)

Limits USDT withdrawals to pre-approved wallet addresses only. Adds a 24-hour delay on new addresses.

Step-by-step: buying USDT with PKR

1
Open Binance and go to Buy Crypto → P2P Trading

On mobile: tap the top navigation. On desktop: hover Buy Crypto in the main menu.

2
Select Buy, choose USDT, set currency to PKR

The marketplace will show all actI've sellers offering USDT for PKR at that moment.

3
Filter by your payment method

Select EasyPaisa, JazzCash, or Bank Transfer depending on what you have available. This filters sellers who accept that method.

4
Review seller credentials before selecting

Check completion rate (target above 98%), number of completed trades (target above 500), and average release time. Read their terms.

5
Enter the PKR amount and place the order

Binance calculates how much USDT you receI've at that seller's rate. Confirm, and the USDT is locked in escrow.

6
Send the PKR payment within the time limit

You typically have 15 minutes. Send via the payment method shown in the order. Do not send to any other account.

7
Upload your payment screenshot and click Transferred

Upload proof inside the Binance order screen. Do not mark as transferred before you have actually sent the payment.

8
Wait for seller confirmation

Most verified sellers confirm within 5 to 15 minutes. Once confirmed, the USDT appears in your Spot Wallet.

EasyPaisa vs JazzCash vs bank transfer

MethodSpeedDaily LimitBest For
EasyPaisaInstant~PKR 25,000/daySmall purchases, quick transactions
JazzCashInstant~PKR 25,000/daySmall to medium purchases
Bank TransferMinutes to hoursHigher — varies by bankLarger amounts, documented trail

For amounts above PKR 25,000, bank transfer is the practical option. For speed and convenience at smaller amounts, EasyPaisa and JazzCash are the fastest route.

How to choose a safe seller

Not all P2P sellers are equal. The platform has a reputation system for a reason — use it. These are the filters that matter.

Completion rate above 98%

This is the percentage of trades the seller has completed without dispute or cancellation. Below 95% is a red flag.

At least 500 completed trades

New sellers with 10 to 50 trades have no proven track record. Experienced sellers have hundreds or thousands of completed orders.

Average release time under 10 minutes

Long release times suggest the seller is slow to confirm payments. This is shown on their profile.

Read their terms carefully

Legitimate sellers have clear, reasonable terms. Vague or aggressI've terms — especially around payment methods or screenshots — are warning signs.

Understanding TRC20 — the network that matters

Once you have USDT in your Binance wallet, you may want to withdraw it to an external wallet or receI've it from another trader. The network you choose determines the fees and the risk of error.

TRC20 ✓ Fee: ~$1 Standard for Pakistan ERC20 Fee: $5–$30 Expensive, avoid for USDT BEP20 Fee: ~$0.10 Binance Smart Chain only

Always confirm the network with whoever you are sending to or receiving from. Sending USDT on the wrong network results in permanent loss. The TRC20 address format starts with T — confirm this before every withdrawal.

Critical

Sending USDT on the wrong network is irreversible. No exchange can recover it. Always double-check the network matches on both the sending and receiving side before confirming any withdrawal.

Mistakes that cost Pakistani traders their money

"The escrow system protects you completely — as long as you follow the process and communicate only inside the Binance platform."

Communicating outside Binance. If a seller asks you to move the conversation to WhatsApp or Telegram, end the trade immediately and report the seller. Every legitimate transaction is handled entirely inside Binance. The moment you communicate elsewhere, you lose escrow protection.

Releasing escrow before the seller confirms. Never click "release" until the seller has confirmed and you have verified the funds are in your wallet. There is no undo.

Choosing the cheapest rate without checking the seller. A seller offering 5 rupees less per USDT than everyone else is not a bargain. Low rates with suspicious seller profiles are a scam pattern. Pay the going rate and buy from a verified, experienced seller.

Ignoring the timer. P2P orders have a time limit, typically 15 minutes. If you place an order and then delay sending payment, the order may be cancelled and the USDT returned to the seller. Have your payment method ready before placing the order.
